During the Olympic Weightlifting training you will learn the sport of Olympic Weightlifting (OLY) combined with CrossFit principles. Do you need to be an Olympic athlete or have an athletic build to participate? Not at all! You perform each exercise at your own level. Experience how Olympic Weightlifting works for you.

The snatch and the clean & jerk

There are two central disciplines in OLY: the snatch and the clean & jerk. The goal is not only to lift the greatest weight possible, but to carry out both complex movements as efficiently as possible using the right techniques.


The snatch teaches you to lift a weight from the ground to above your head as quickly and efficiently as possible. In the clean & jerk, you lift the heaviest possible weight above your head in two steps. You work towards a certain weight with which you can repeat the exercise as often as possible. This allows you to get the most out of yourself and the weight!

Better all-round fitness with Olympic Weightlifting

OLY makes you better at lifting objects, not only within the CrossFit box, but in your daily activities as well.


OLY is taught in a group of maximum 10 people. Although the exercise is performed individually, the lesson provides an explosion of adrenaline in a group setting. The enormous amount of power you unleash has a snowball effect on your environment. The group’s motivation and dynamics help you step out of your comfort zone. You literally see yourself and the weights grow!

Train with our expert trainers

Just like all other lessons, it’s important to have the right trainers for Olympic Weightlifting. Each OLY session is taught by one of our expert trainers. All YouAct trainers are certified Olympic Weightlifting trainers and as such are recognised by NOC*NSF. YouAct now officially participates in weightlifting competitions such as the Dutch Championships and ONK with our own trainers as coaches.


In addition, our trainers have developed a great deal of expertise thanks to their background. Frouke used Olympic weightlifting for years during her skating career and learned from top coaches. Nathan has taken various courses including Weightlifting for top Performances supervised by Olympic athlete Tom Goegebuer and his coach Bieke Vandenabeele. When you learn from the best you get the best!

Prevent injuries and achieve progress

Thanks to our personal supervision, we can prevent injuries and maintain a perfect level of intensity. During this training, we regularly use video analyses, so that you receive direct feedback on your performance. Do you need extra motivation? Then we can of course reflect on the progress you have made!
