During Olympic Weightlifting workouts, you will learn the sport of Olympic Weightlifting (OLY) combined with CrossFit principles. Do you necessarily have to be an Olympic athlete or have an athletic figure to participate in this class? Certainly not! You perform each exercise at your own level. Experience for yourself if weightlifting suits you.

The snatch and the clean & jerk

In OLY, you have two disciplines that take center stage: the snatch and the clean & jerk. The goal is not just to lift as heavy as possible, but to perform both complex movements as efficiently as possible with the right techniques.

In the snatch, you learn to lift a weight from the ground to above your head as efficiently and as quickly as possible. With the clean & jerk, you lift the heaviest possible weight above your head in two steps. You work toward a certain weight that allows you to repeat the exercise as many times as possible. This will help you get the most out of yourself and the weight!

All-round fitter through Olympic Weightlifting

Not only within the CrossFit box, but also in your daily activities, OLY makes you more powerful in lifting objects.

OLY is taught in a group of up to ten people. Although the exercise is performed individually, in a group setting this class provides an explosion of adrenaline. The enormous amount of power you evoke in yourself acts like a snowball effect on those around you. The motivation and dynamics of the group will help you step outside your comfort zone. You literally see yourself and thus the weight grow!

Train with our expert trainers

With Olympic weightlifting, as with all classes, it is important to have the right trainers. Every OLY training is therefore taught by one of our expert trainers. All YouAct trainers are certified Olympic weightlifting trainers and with this we are also recognized by NOC*NSF. YouAct now officially competes in weightlifting competitions such as the NK and ONK with our own trainers as coaches.

In addition, our trainers have already developed a lot of expertise from their background. For example, Frouke used Olympic weightlifting for many years during her skating career. When you learn from the best you get the best!

Prevent injuries and make progress

Through our personal guidance, we can prevent injuries and maintain a perfect level of intensity. During this training we regularly use video analysis so that you receive immediate feedback on your performance. Need extra motivation? Then, of course, we’ll take a look back at the progress you’ve made!
