General Terms and Conditions of CrossFit YouAct
- CrossFit YouAct in these terms and conditions means the owners, employees, independent contractors and/or volunteers deployed by CrossFit YouAct.
- The member, participant and/or purchaser of a particular service or product at CrossFit YouAct is gazetted in these terms and conditions.
Statement
- By purchasing a service or product from CrossFit YouAct, you agree to be bound by the terms and rules as outlined below.
- For minors (under the age of 16), permission from a parent or other legal representative is required.
Damage and liability
- CrossFit YouAct assumes no liability for damage, loss and/or theft of your property.
- CrossFit YouAct assumes no liability for any personal or bodily injury suffered by you and any resulting damages.
- You hereby declare that the present sports instruction, nutrition or lifestyle advice will be received solely and exclusively at your own expense and risk. Therefore, all costs of any mishap, accident and/or injury in the broadest sense of the word will be borne entirely by you.
- You are aware that practicing certain sports involves risks and that you take any (consequential) damage that may occur as a result of practicing any kind of sport at your own risk.
- You will fully and completely indemnify CrossFit YouAct for all third party claims in the broadest sense.
Health Statement
CrossFit YouAct expects you to be sufficiently healthy to attend the workouts. You are responsible for obtaining any medical clearance to exercise at CrossFit YouAct or beyond. CrossFit YouAct does not check for this and assumes good health when appearing at a workout. If in doubt, you are required to consult a licensed physician or therapist prior to the agreement with CrossFit YouAct or at the time of the agreement. During the duration of the agreement you are obliged to report pain(s), discomfort, abnormal fatigue and/or changes in physical condition before, during as well as after the training to CrossFit YouAct.
Injuries and illness
Personal Training/ Personal Nutrition Coaching
- If you are suddenly ill within 24 hours before your appointment or training (stomach flu, fever, etc.) or something happens beyond your control that prevents you from coming (exercising), we will suspend your appointment. However, we only do this once a month and the validity of your membership will not be extended.
- In case of minor injuries (for example a sprained ankle, stiff neck or sprained wrist) or muscle pain, appointments and training sessions will continue as usual, of course in modified form. Membership also continues.
- In case of serious injury or illness, contact your trainer/ coach. After handing over a doctor’s statement, a suitable solution for training will be sought in consultation or membership will be suspended for the duration of the injury or illness.
Group Training
- In case of late cancellation or a “no show” for a group class due to illness or incapacity, you will lose your credit and the class cannot be made up.
- If you want to move your registration to a class to another time of the day, but are too late to unsubscribe without obligation, you can contact the relevant trainer or the administration with the request to change your registration. Only upon confirmation can you assume that we have received your message and signed you up for another class.
- For minor injuries (for example, a sprained ankle, stiff neck or sprained wrist) or muscle soreness, you may participate in a group class, in modified form, of course. Membership also continues as usual.
- In case of serious injury or illness, contact your trainer/ coach. After handing over a doctor’s statement, a suitable solution for training will be sought in consultation or membership will be suspended for the duration of the injury or illness.
Results
On all services of CrossFit YouAct, given the purpose of the service, is the duty to guide you as best as possible during the service by engaging a qualified person. CrossFit YouAct is obliged to fulfill its obligations, but does not guarantee that its work will achieve the intended result. CrossFit YouAct can not be held responsible for not achieving the desired result. The success depends on your commitment.
Opening hours
- CrossFit YouAct reserves the right to change opening hours.
- On official or recognized holidays, CrossFit YouAct may close its doors or adjust its hours of operation.
- For team building activities or training moments for trainers, YouAct has the right to change opening hours.
- Check the website for the latest opening hours.
Class schedule
- CrossFit YouAct reserves the right to change schedules for classes, personal training, target workouts and goal reviews, among others.
- On official or recognized holidays, CrossFit YouAct may close its doors or adjust class times.
- CrossFit YouAct reserves the right to postpone, change and/or cancel scheduled services due to what CrossFit YouAct deems to be an insufficient number of participants, vacations, illness absence of the instructor, any form of force majeure or other circumstances to be determined by CrossFit YouAct.
- In case of prolonged absence of a CrossFit trainer of CrossFit YouAct, CrossFit YouAct will, entirely without obligation, try to take care of normal progress of the classes as soon as possible.
Financial
- YouAct has the right to change prices of services and products at any time.
- Change of prices for current subscriptions will be announced in writing no later than six weeks in advance.
- When amounts due are debited via SEPA direct debit, you must ensure that there is always sufficient balance on the account number provided for the debit to take place. If amounts due are not paid within 14 calendar days, you will be given a final opportunity to pay the amount due yourself.
- If, after a period of four weeks, you are still in default, the claim and all outstanding installments of the subscription will be handed over. All costs incurred for this will be for your account.
Personal data
- CrossFit YouAct respects your privacy and we therefore ensure that the personal information you provide to us is processed in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). You can read more about this in CrossFit YouAct’s privacy statement at https://www.youact.nl/privacybeleid/.
- CrossFit YouAct processes your personal data in a manner and for the purposes specified below: billing, accounts receivable administration, complaint handling and dispute resolution, for market research and commercial purposes such as sales activities related to CrossFit YouAct’s services.
- Je hebt een inzage, correctie en verzetrecht met betrekking tot de van jouw verwerkte persoonsgegevens, evenals het recht op verwijdering van jouw gegevens. CrossFit YouAct kan voor een inzage, het doorvoeren van correcties en/of het behandelen van een verzet kosten in rekening brengen tot het wettelijk maximum. Je kan een bezwaar tegen verwerking van je persoonsgegevens, en verzoeken tot inzage, correctie, verzet en/of verwijdering, richten aan admin@youact.nl.
- Veranderingen m.b.t. de persoonlijke situatie van het lid (bijv. adres-, bank-, of contactgegevens) dienen direct door de klant via SportBit gewijzigd te worden. Bij het niet tijdig doorgeven van deze wijzigingen is de klant zelf verantwoordelijk voor eventuele extra kosten, bijvoorbeeld ten gevolge van betalingsachterstanden en/of het niet op de hoogte zijn van prijsverhogingen.
Additional Terms and Conditions Group Training
A membership for CrossFit group training can consist of a monthly subscription and/or a rides card. In addition to a monthly subscription individual training sessions can be purchased. You are responsible for managing your membership, this is done through SportBit.
Membership
Subscriptions
- Cancellation: membership is for an indefinite period and runs until cancellation. If you do not cancel the membership in time, it will be automatically renewed for the same period.
- Notice period: the monthly subscription is subject to a notice period of one full calendar month. Example: On January 15, you cancel your monthly subscription through SportBit. Your membership will then end on March 1.
- Downgrade & upgrade: downgrading or upgrading a monthly subscription is possible. You can upgrade or downgrade your membership at any time. This should be done through SportBit.
- Downgrade: een downgrade gaat in na één volledige kalendermaand. Voorbeeld: Downgrade je je abonnement per 15 januari, dan gaat de downgrade in per 1 maart.
- Upgrade: upgrading your subscription can be done immediately or at a time of your choosing in the future.
- Pause: a monthly subscription can only be paused by email at admin@youact.nl. The minimum pause period is four weeks and the maximum pause period is 12 weeks. After the pause period, your membership is automatically reactivated. The cancellation period described according to article 2 will then take effect again. A break period cannot be set off retroactively.
Note! When pausing, (part of) the pause period is still charged. At the time of activation, the overpayment will be deducted from the next installment.

Trip cards
- Validity: a rides card for 10 group classes has a validity of 6 months from the date of purchase.
- Cancel, pause or extend: it is not possible to pause, cancel or extend the validity of a rides card in the interim.
- Personalized: all rides cards group classes are strictly personal and cannot be exchanged to others.
Signing in and out of group training sessions
The conditions below apply to both subscriptions and rides cards.
- Group training registration: you can register for group classes up to 28 days in advance. Registration must be done through SportBit at all times. You can sign up up to one minute before the start of the group class.
- Canceling group training: for the first two morning classes (Mon to Sun) you can unsubscribe up to 12 hours before the start of the training. If you cancel within 12 hours, you will lose the class (credit). For the other classes you can unsubscribe up to 4 hours before the start of the training. If you unsubscribe within 4 hours, you will lose the lesson (credit).
- Waiting list group training: if a class is full, you will be placed on a waiting list when you register for that class. If space becomes available no later than four hours before the start of a class, or 12 hours before the start of the first two morning classes, the first person on the waiting list will be automatically enrolled. That person will be notified via SportBit. If a spot becomes available within four/ twelve hours before a class, everyone on the waiting list will be notified. The person who responds first has the spot.
Additional Terms and Conditions Personal Training
Membership
Personal training can be taken in the form of a rides card or a single session. After a conversation with one of our trainers we activate the product for you. You cannot do this yourself through SportBit.
Trip cards
- Validity: you choose the number of personal training sessions per week (1, 2 or 3), the duration of the session (30 or 60 minutes) and the number of weeks (4, 8, 12, 16 or 24 weeks). For example: 2 workouts per week of 30 minutes each x 8 weeks = 16 workouts. You can divide these 16 workouts over 8 weeks. Because it may not always be possible or wise to do all the workouts within 8 weeks, we have extended the validity of all rides cards by 25%. So an 8-week rides card is valid for 10 weeks. The validity period starts from the start of the first session.
- Sign up: you sign up for personal training through SportBit. You can plan your workouts ahead for the entire period. In the schedule you can see when a trainer is available. You will be assigned a head coach, preferably you do most of your training with this coach. However, you can also schedule your training with another coach. You can sign up for a training at least 24 hours before the start of the training.
- Reschedule: up to 24 hours before a training you can reschedule your training to another hour and/or day. You unsubscribe and subscribe via Sportbit. YouAct offers no guarantee that there is an available hour at a convenient time for you. If you would like to try to reschedule within 24 hours of your workout within the same week, please send a message to the administration at admin@youact.nl so we can rebook your workout. We cannot guarantee that the administration will respond to your message on short notice and whether there is room to reschedule.
- Cancellation: commitment is important to us. If you are unable to keep an appointment, it can be rescheduled up to one week prior to the appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours prior to the appointment, this will be considered a completed training that cannot be made up.
- Late: personal training sessions start and end at the scheduled time. If the session starts later than scheduled through no fault of CrossFit YouAct, this is not a reason to extend the duration of the session beyond the scheduled time.
- Personalized: the trainings are personalized so not interchangeable with others.
Loose session
- Validity: a single session must be scheduled within 2 weeks of purchase.
- Sign up: you sign up for personal training through SportBit. You can plan your workouts up to two weeks ahead. The schedule shows you when a trainer is available. You can sign up for a training until 24 hours before the start of the training.
- Reschedule: up to 24 hours before a training you can reschedule your training to another hour and/or day. You sign yourself out and in via Sportbit. If you would like to try to reschedule within 24 hours before the start of your training within the same day, please send a message to the relevant trainer so he/she can rebook your training. This is not a guarantee of success, the trainer may not be able to respond in time and/or there may not be a spot available.
- Cancellation: commitment is important to us. If you are unable to keep an appointment, it may be rescheduled up to 24 hours prior to the appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours prior to the appointment, this will be considered a completed training that cannot be made up.

Trainer/ coach
- The training program is key. You will be paired with a head coach, but you can be mentored by different trainers at CrossFit YouAct.
- If the trainer/coach is absent, you may assume that a proper replacement will be available. In the event no replacement is available, both payments and training will be suspended until a trainer/coach can resume training.
Additional Terms and Conditions Personal Program
If you indicate that you would like to work in a goal-oriented way, with your own training program and outside the group lessons, you can request a free consultation with one of our trainers. Together with the trainer you can discuss whether a personal program suits you. A personal program consists of a targeted training program, personal training sessions, online coaching and independent training at YouAct. The frequency and duration of the different sessions are determined together with the trainer.
Membership
A personal program consists of two rides cards, one for personal training and one for independent training (target training). After a conversation with one of our trainers we activate the products for you. You cannot do this yourself through Sportbit.
- Validity: In advance you determine the start date, duration and frequency of your program. For example, you agree to start a 12-week program. Your rides cards are valid 25% longer than this agreed upon period. In the example, this amounts to a total validity period of 15 weeks. After that you still have access to the program, but the credits you have not used for independent training and/or personal training expire. The (online) coaching also stops.
- Sign up: you are responsible for scheduling your personal and target training, you do this through the rosters in Sportbit. You can sign up for the entire period in advance.
- Renew: for a fee you can renew the program. Here you and your coach can again choose from the various rides cards and/or single sessions.
- Pause: you can pause your program once. The minimum pause period is 2 weeks, then your program will automatically restart. Note! When you pause, all your scheduled classes do not automatically expire. So make sure you sign out in time for both personal and target workouts during the break period. To pause, send an email to admin@youact.nl.
- Cancellation: you can always stop the program mid-term, however, we will not refund the payment for the missed training sessions.
The training program
- In the first meeting, the trainer already asks out as much information as possible to write an appropriate training program.
- Prior to creating and/or personalizing a training program, the trainer will do a baseline measurement with you in the form of a personal training session. After that, the trainer needs a maximum of 5 working days to process the results and send the program to you.
- The training program is assigned by a trainer of CrossFit YouAct. The trainer can prepare a completely new program or use existing programs prepared by CrossFit YouAct or by other parties. When the trainer uses an existing program, the trainer can adapt the program to your level and needs.
- You can give the trainer feedback on the training program once prior to the first session, the trainer will then consider your feedback and make any adjustments to your program. The trainer will take a maximum of half an hour for this.
- The training program is shared with you digitally via Google Drive.
- The program includes enough instructions and videos that, in combination with personal training sessions, you can perform the workouts independently.
- As an athlete, you are responsible for tracking your training results.
Personal training
- A personal program is always combined with personal training sessions to give you the best possible guidance. Together with the trainer, the frequency and duration of these personal training sessions will be determined. Guidance during these sessions can include, for example:
- Review of the past training period.
- Talking through the future training period.
- Providing technique tips possibly in the form of video analysis.
- Making adjustments to the training program.
- Testing and evaluating the current level.
Personal training is purchased in a personal program in the form of a rides card. After a conversation with one of our trainers we activate the product for you. You cannot do this yourself through SportBit. The additional terms and conditions for personal training apply to the rides cards.
Online coaching
- Once you have started the program, you can track your training data in the Google Drive document. You can post comments about yourself and the training. When this is posted as a comment in the document, your trainer will receive an email about it. If necessary, the trainer will respond within 2 working days.
- The trainer can contact you by email, Whatsapp or phone when you haven’t trained for a while, you don’t register data in Google Drive or when the trainer wants to talk to you for other reasons.
- When you or the trainer thinks you need extensive (online) coaching (30 minutes or longer) this can be scheduled as an (extra) personal training session. For this our personal training rates will be charged.
Training independently
- You get credits to schedule your training times. These credits can only be used for independent training and cannot be exchanged among other people.
- You are responsible for scheduling your workouts, which you do through a specific schedule in SportBit.
- You should schedule yourself for sufficient time, if your training takes longer than the reserved time, please notify your trainer first. Then he/she can adjust your program. If there is still enough space after your reservation, you may complete the training outside your reservation time. You do not have to do anything for this and no extra costs will be charged.
- Handle the materials neatly, tidy up all your belongings after training. If something accidentally breaks, report it immediately. You will not be charged and we can make sure it is repaired.
Trainer/ coach
- The training program is key. You will be paired with a head coach, but you can be mentored by different trainers at CrossFit YouAct.
- If the trainer/coach is absent, you may assume that a proper replacement will be available. In the event no replacement is available, both payments and training will be suspended until a trainer/coach can resume training.
Additional Terms and Conditions Nutrition Coaching
Membership
If you are interested in nutrition coaching, we are happy to schedule a no-obligation consultation with you first. For new clients this can be done via the intake planner or the walk-in clinic. Members of CrossFit YouAct can also schedule a goal review. For nutrition coaching you can choose from three onboarding packages. If you want to keep a low threshold, you can subscribe to our application to keep track of your diet and get online feedback from our nutrition coach. A few times a year nutrition challenges are held, these are group sessions in a package form, which do not require an intake interview.
Onboarding packages
- Validity:
- Set & check: two 60-minute sessions (valid for 8 weeks).
- 3-month package: 2 x 60-minute sessions and 4 x 30-minute sessions (valid for 16 weeks).
- Half-year package: 2 x 60-minute sessions and 8 x 30-minute sessions (valid for 32 weeks)
- Sign in: We activate the chosen package for you. You sign up for a personal nutrition session via the schedule in SportBit. You can schedule all your sessions from your package ahead of time. You can sign up for a session up to 24 hours before the start of the session.
- Reschedule: up to 24 hours before the start of a workout you can reschedule your session to another hour and/or day without any obligation. You sign yourself out and in via Sportbit. If you would like to try to reschedule within 24 hours before the start of your training within the same day, please send a message to the relevant coach so he/she can rebook your training. This is not a guarantee of success, the coach may not be able to respond in time and/or there may not be a spot available.
- Cancellation: commitment is important to us. If you are unable to keep an appointment, it may be rescheduled up to 24 hours prior to the appointment. If you cancel within 24 hours prior to the appointment, this will be considered a completed training that cannot be made up.
- Pause: in principle your trajectory can always continue, even remotely, when you are very busy, you are sick or have lots of parties. These are precisely the moments when your eating pattern is challenged and when you can look together with your coach at how to deal with this. Only when it is irresponsible to be busy with your eating pattern (think of an eating disorder) the trajectory can be paused with a doctor’s note.
- Termination: your coach retains the right to terminate the program early. Missed sessions will then be financially compensated.
- Application: during the onboarding packages for 3 and 6 months we use an application in which you can register your diet. More general conditions for using the application can be found below.
Loose session
After following an onboarding program or nutrition challenge, it is possible to book single sessions. In addition, single sessions can also be used as an addition to an onboarding, challenge or subscription if you want more intensive guidance. You buy the sessions via SportBit.

Nutrition Challenge
A nutrition challenge consists of group sessions pre-planned at set times with a start and end date.
- Absence: in case of absence for any reason there will be no financial refund. If you wish, you can catch up the missed session in a one-on-one session, for this you will be charged the regular rates for one-on-one coaching.
- Personalized: sessions are personalized so are not exchangeable with others.
- Late: sessions start and end at the scheduled time. If the session starts later than scheduled through no fault of CrossFit YouAct, this is not a reason to extend the duration of the session beyond the scheduled time.
- Application: during the challenge we use an application in which you can register your diet. More general conditions for using the application can be found below.
Nutrition tracking app
To keep track of your diet and get online feedback on it from one of our nutritionists, you can use our monthly application subscription.
- We expect you to fill out the application honestly and completely.
- You can ask short questions to the nutritionist through the application.
- Once every two weeks, the nutritionist watches the application to provide feedback on your diet and will answer short questions. If you have additional questions as a result of the feedback, the expert will answer them two weeks later. If you can’t wait that long schedule a one-on-one session with the nutritionist, you will be charged the regular rates for one-on-one coaching.
- Cancellation: membership on the application is for an indefinite period of time with a minimum of three months and runs until cancellation. If you do not cancel the membership in time, it will be automatically renewed for the same period. Termination is done through nutrition@youact.nl.
- Notice period: the monthly subscription is subject to a notice period of one full calendar month. Example: On January 15, you cancel your monthly subscription through SportBit. Your membership will then end on March 1.
