As a little girl, growing up in a hamlet with nine farms, I loved playing outside, the space and quiet. Biking, running, horseback riding, windsurfing, skateboarding, playing tennis, soccer and ice skating. Skating was my favorite thing and this is where I eventually made my profession.
I trained from the age of 17 with the best fitness, weightlifting and skating coaches. A podium finish at the World Cup 500m, skating in a full Thialf and going with NOS to the Olympics in Vancouver are memories I will never forget.
Starting in 2006, I became active as a trainer in many different areas. As a skating and personal trainer, as well as an organizer of skating and cycling trips and as a guide on road bikes in the mountains. Until I discovered CrossFit and found out that this sport is all-encompassing. A sport in which I can continually develop myself and continue to grow endlessly. Eventually, I started CrossFit YouAct in Waalre in 2014.
I am now a mother of two children and am proud that I have managed to set up a company where everyone is respected as they are. I think that is also my greatest strength. I don’t judge, I value people and try to give them a place where they feel safe and can grow. For me, that’s what CrossFit YouAct stands for.
