The CrossFit Juniors workouts at CrossFit YouAct are made to teach kids how to move well. In a playful and sporty way, they discover the most familiar elements of CrossFit. It resembles CrossFit for adults, but is adapted to the capabilities and limitations of children.

Challenge for Juniors
The CrossFit Junior program is designed for children ages 12 to 16. In addition to the basic movements of CrossFit, children learn to work together, build self-confidence and make social connections. There is also a focus on topics such as healthy eating and exercise outside of classes.
Classes last 60 minutes and the focus is on performing movements properly before increasing intensity. Consider the basics of weightlifting and the primary skills from gymnastics. Kids actually do a scaled-down version of CrossFit.

Does CrossFit Juniors suit your child?
CrossFit is a great sport for kids because of the great variety of movement and challenge. Classes are diverse and include elements from gymnastics, athletics and weightlifting, of course with modified weight and focus on technique. As a result, each lesson looks different. Children develop a better awareness of their bodies during classes and build a positive relationship with sports.
In addition to physical development, such as strengthening muscles and improving fitness, we also pay close attention to emotional skills. Consider self-confidence, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership and manners.


What does a training course look like?
The CrossFit Juniors group consists of a maximum of 12 participants per class, so every child gets enough and personal attention. You will automatically become enthusiastic about CrossFit through the lessons of our CrossFit Kids trainers.
Classes start at the whiteboard where trainers explain the purpose of the workout and what games, skills and workouts they will be doing that day.
- Warm-up: warm up muscles. We do this with movements appropriate to the skills and workout of the day.
- Practicing Skills: every class we train new CrossFit skills or practice the skills we learned before. Here you can think of: pull-ups, rope climbs, push-ups, deadlifts, squats, handstands, jumping jacks, etc.
- Workout Of the Day: a different workout every workout. The workout duration can vary from 4 to about 10 minutes, and we always tailor the content to that day’s goals.
- Finisher: depending on the intensity of the Workout Of the Day, we conclude with a challenging finisher.

Juniors: Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
